A Monochrome Wedding at Cleaver & Wake
Mia & Louis: A Monochrome Wedding at Cleaver & Wake
Mia and Louis nailed the brief: black tie, sleek, and effortlessly cool. Their wedding at Cleaver & Wake was proof that minimalism doesn’t have to be boring—it can be bold, timeless, and ridiculously stylish.
The Details
From the second you walked into the room, the vibe was set. Crisp white florals, soft candlelight, and chic modern pedestals styled by Daria at Refinist Event Designs brought the monochrome vision to life. Add in the Jimmy Choos, pearl accents, and a ridiculously chic black-and-white cake, and you’ve got yourself a masterclass in understated elegance.
The Looks
Mia opted for two looks, both chosen from Sophie over at Ivory White Bridal One classic and sleek looking wedding gown and a short evening party dress adorned with pearls to match the Jimmy Choo’s. Louis stepped up the groom game with his ivory tux jacket, adding just the right amount of contrast to the monochrome palette. Together? A Stunning combination!
The Vibe
It wasn’t just pretty; it was fun. The kind of wedding where napkins get waved during speeches, champagne towers flow, and the dance floor stays packed. And between all that, there were quiet, intimate moments—the kind you don’t plan but make the day unforgettable.
The Venue
Cleaver & Wake, with its modern architecture and insane light, was the perfect backdrop. Whether it was Mia descending the staircase or The awesome reflections and city scape of Notts in the distance, the venue worked its magic and was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day vision.
Why It Worked
This wedding was unapologetically them. Stylish without feeling try-hard, emotional without being over the top, and just the right mix of modern and timeless. Mia and Louis showed how less can absolutely be more.
